Introduction training sessions 2020

If you want to play matches for GVC, do not miss the introduction training sessions! During the introduction training sessions, the trainers can assess if you are up to the level to play official football matches with fellow students. And, vice versa, you can see if you like the club, the players, the trainers, and the setup of the training.

And the good news is, outdoor football has until now appeared to be corona proof! So, whilst education is largely offline, during the introduction training sessions you can let go of your computer, and enjoy being with fellow students ‘real life’! (Please note however: Use of indoor dressing room is still restricted, so you have to come to the pitch in your sports clothes.)

This is the schedule of the introduction training sessions:

For men:
Tuesday Sept 1, 20.45 – 22.15h (grass pitch*)
Thursday Sept 3, 20.45 – 22.15h (artificial pitch)
Tuesday Sept 8, 20.45 – 22.15h (grass pitch*)
Thursday Sept 10, 20.45 – 22.15h (artificial pitch)

You are welcome to arrive between 20.30 and 20.45h for registration, and possibly some first ball touches. Please do not arrive before 20.30h, as the field is still occupied by another sport (and due to corona, we want to eliminate any contact). However, please make sure to be there latest 20.45h, because then the training session really starts.

There indicated above, there are four sessions. If you cannot make it to these sessions, or already want to participate during a training session in August, please send an email (see Club info -> Contact).

For women:
Wednesday Sept 2, 18.45 – 20.00h (artificial pitch)
Wednesday Sept 9, 18.45 – 20.00h (artificial pitch)

Similarly, please be welcome to send an email, if these dates do not suit you.

*The grass pitch is behind the sport halls, next to student flat Hoevestein. If you don’t know the way, please ask the reception of the sports centre or, between 20.30 and 20.45h, wait next to dressing room 16.

See you at the soccer pitch!
